Gel Mix 480 gives athletes fuller access to training and racing thanks to hydrogel technology. A flask-based fuelling system for athletes who train hard: for the duration and distance of a long session or race, or for the frequency of extended training blocks. Because consistency is key, Gel Mix 480 adds another hydrogel fuelling format to ensure complete fuelling across more sessions and races. The texture is thicker than Drink Mix and runnier than Gel. Each sachet contains 120 grams of carbohydrate once dissolved in 200 ml of water.

Gel Mix 480 is pH-sensitive. It behaves like Drink Mix, turning into a true gel in the acidic environment of the stomach. This transformation encapsulates the carbohydrates and carries them through the stomach to be absorbed, making it easier to take on energy during exercise.

Gel Mix 480 is designed to be mixed and consumed with the 350 ml Gel Mix Flask and can be kept in the fridge for up to 72 hours.

The flask-powered Gel Mix 480 hydration system

is designed to be used with the 350 ml Gel Mix Flask soft flask. The flask has a SpeedFill™ cap for quick refills, a 200 ml fill line for water and a bite valve that makes it easy to drink even on rough terrain. It’s designed to fit in a running vest, a belt or a back pocket. Other soft flasks or bottles can be used with Gel Mix 480, but they aren’t ideal: check the FAQ for more information.
