When, on 2 July 1974, Steve Prefontaine came to Milan for the athletics meeting, the lads from Pro Patria gave him a black vest. Steve grew fond of that vest, and wearing it he won his last race on the track in Eugene, Oregon. This is a well-deserved tribute to one of the greatest athletes of all time, a man who ran Wild!
